The science

How heat ends an infestation.

Bed bugs survive sprays. They don't survive physics. Here's what actually happens on treatment day — and why it works when everything else has failed.

The thermal death point

Every life stage of Cimex lectularius — the common bed bug — dies rapidly once its body core exceeds the lethal threshold. We hold the room at 60.5–65°C to guarantee the kill zone reaches inside mattresses, headboards, skirtings and wall voids where the population actually hides.

Forced-air convection

Industrial electric heaters, industrial indirect diesel heat machines and directional fans push heated air into every cavity — the places sprays can't reach and where 80% of the population actually lives.

Thermal imaging verification

Professional-grade thermal imaging cameras scan every surface in real time, instantly revealing cold spots where bed bugs cluster. We direct heat precisely into those hidden pockets and confirm lethal temperature has been reached across the entire treatment zone — nothing escapes the frame.

Physical, not chemical

Bed bugs cannot evolve resistance to heat the way they have to pyrethroids. If your temperature curve is right, the outcome is certain.

A day on site

One visit. Total clearance.

From the moment we arrive to the moment we leave, every step is deliberate, measured, and verified. Here is how a typical treatment day unfolds.

Early arrival

We turn up between 07:30 and 08:00 in a discreet unmarked van. No logos, no fuss — your neighbours won't know we're there. First job: walk the property, map the treatment zones, and position thermal cameras so every surface is in view before a single heater is switched on.

Heat on, bugs out

Industrial electric and indirect diesel heaters are brought online, supported by high-volume directional fans. Air temperature climbs fast to 60.5°C, then we hold it while thermal mass in mattresses, headboards and wall voids catches up. This is where sprays fail and heat wins — we reach the cavities where 80% of the population hides.

Kill-zone confirmation

Professional thermal imaging cameras scan every surface in real time. Cold spots are targeted instantly with redirected airflow. We confirm every zone has held 60.5–65°C for the required duration — including inside furniture, behind skirtings, and within soft furnishings. Nothing escapes the frame.

We lock up and go

We give you a time to return home, then pack up, ventilate the property, lock up and leave. There's no waiting around and no formal handover. All aftercare details and your written guarantee are sent straight to your phone by text or WhatsApp.

Most domestic treatments are complete and signed off within a single working day.
What you'll need to do

Prep is minimal.

You don't need to bag your possessions, wash every fabric or throw the mattress out. We send a one-page prep sheet after booking — mostly it's about removing heat-sensitive items (candles, aerosols, chocolate, vinyl records) and giving us clear access.
